What We Do
Mission Statement
The organization’s mission is to preserve housing choice by constructing, rehabilitating, and providing decent, safe, and sanitary housing for low-income, moderate-income, and workforce residents and families who otherwise would not be able to afford decent housing. The Corporation shall provide such housing through the rehabilitation of substandard buildings and construction of new facilities in the place of blighted structures or blighted vacant sites for the purpose of combatting the deterioration of the community and contributing to its physical improvement. The Corporation may also offer quality rental/lease-to-own housing and programs to qualified individuals with low to moderate income, or who are part of the workforce population.
What We Do
Rental Program:
TAYAN provides single family homes with below-market rental rates. Choose from 1, 2, 3, and 4 bedroom homes located throughout Broward County. Credit reports, income verification, and security deposits are required.
Homeownership:
TAYAN create affordable housing opportunities for families who thought they would never be able to afford their own homes. Through its partnership with Housing Foundation of America, Inc., TAYAN is able to offer additional services and programs such as access to a down payment and closing cost assistance; homebuyer education, financial literacy, foreclosure prevention, and mortgage readiness for first time home buyers who meet income eligibility guidelines.
